Impressions at midnight
Let’s see, we’re leaving 2006 and SNL’s “____ in a box” and we’re looking forward to 2007 and CBS’s “Armed & famous.”
This is progress?
New to the blogosphere, I trusted the prognostications of other bloggers when they told me, “don’t waste any important posts over the holidays.” And, well, my web traffic reports tell me they were correct. So, I guess this is a perfect time for a year end/new year post.
My greatest impressions as ‘06 comes to an end? Forget James Brown, Gerald Ford and Saddam Hussein, the thing that made the greatest impression on me was that hilarious “thing in a box” from Saturday Night Live that has been getting more viewership on youtube than most prime-time shows. I can’t get the song out of my head.
My greatest impression as we enter ‘07? “Armed & Famous.” (Clearly I’ve been watching too much football over the break.) Staring “Erik Estrada and other lesser celebrities…” according to competitor Fox (there are lesser celebrities?), if this is reality TV, someone please tell me what unreal TV might be. I can just imagine the finger pointing at CBS come, what? mid-January?
I look forward to sharing some, hopefully, worthwhile observations about creativity in business with you in the coming fifty two weeks.
Got any midnight impressions to share?
And, oh yeah, Toyotathon ends tomorrow.
